Since her days at Cobleskill Beth has been interested in native plants, habitat gardening, organic, and natural landscape design and practices. Beth continues to educate herself with the latest horticulture happenings by taking classes, attending lectures and symposiums, and reading.

Some things you may not know about Beth is that she actually started college at Brockport studying business communications and psychology. While at Brockport Beth enjoyed playing lacrosse and being roommates with her twin sister Amy, so deciding to change majors and transfer schools was not an easy choice. After working the grounds crew at Oneida Shores Park for two summers and having always enjoyed nature and the outdoors, Beth decided that being outside, being creative and getting dirty everyday was what she wanted from a career. Beth has a passion for nature and it shows in her design and her work. When not at work Beth is enjoys spending time in her own garden. She also enjoys going to listen to local music and tries to attend the Grassroots music festival near Ithaca every year. In the winter she has played on a women’s hockey team since 2004, after taking a year off due to injury, made a return to her team in 2007. Beth also enjoys spending time with her family and goes to her niece and nephews activities whenever possible.
